OVERVIEW OF FIRM
BJ-FC Consulting Engineers is a professional consulting engineering practice providing a service in Civil and Structural Engineering and Project Management. Over the years we have developed our business from respective histories dating back to 1974 and 1989. We draw on varied and broad experience and can offer an efficient and personalised service. Our offices are located on the Berea, a suburb of Durban and are equipped with the latest computer facilities for efficient communication, office management and technical design. We strive to maintain a young and energetic character, which enables us to address the challenges for the future. We believe our company has the right synergy to provide engineering solutions that are aligned with the country’s objectives.

Our commitment lies in enhancing the resource base of our country while actively engaging in development initiatives aimed at uplifting rural and disadvantaged communities through the transfer of relevant skills. Our objective is to furnish our clients with dependable, independent, and cost-effective guidance in the planning and execution of projects.
SMME Projects and Training of Emerging Firms
We have been involved through provincial and local authority bodies as well as with private clients in training SMME’s and the transfer of skills to them.

Mr Adrian Miles Joubert,
Chief Executive Officer
Adrian Joubert has a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Civil Engineering. He is a Candidate Engineering Technician with ECSA, a director of the South African Road Federation and a director of South African Institute of Civil Engineering. Adrian possesses a certificate in the development and promotion of Labour Intensive Construction Strategies (LIC 7).
As founding director, Adrian has been a valued asset to BJ-FC since 2005. He has 37 years of professional experience in Road, Urban and Water Engineering.
Mr Jacques Yanick Douce,
Chief Financial Officer
Yanick Douce is a qualified Civil Engineer who holds a master’s degree in civil engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer (PrEng), a director of South African Institute of Civil Engineering and a certified bridge inspector with COTO. Yanick acts as an ECSA mentor and has been recently appointed as an ECSA assessor/reviewer. Yanick possesses a certificate in the development and promotion of Labour Intensive Construction Strategies (LIC 7).
Yanick specializes in Structural Engineering and Project Management. He has been a director of the BJ-FC brand since 2014 whilst his experience in Civil Engineering spans out to 16 years.
